Last year, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" focused on Brooks Ayers's cancer claims as the ladies speculated that the businessman must be faking cancer for his personal gain.

Now, in a new interview, Ayers revealed that he is writing a tell-all book which he says will reveal the truth behind the show's storylines that he claims were fabricated by Bravo producers to boost ratings.

Ayers told Page Six that he has done "quite a bit of writing in preparation" and that the response that he has been getting from publishers is "pretty overwhelming."

The 48-year-old said that the show depicted him as a man who was out to take advantage of Vicki Gunvalson. The two were together for four years before splitting up last summer.

"They basically pitched me as this poor guy from Mississippi preying on a vulnerable, successful, self-made woman," Ayers said.

Ayers also vehemently denied that he faked cancer, saying, "Who in their right mind would fake cancer?"

All throughout the 10th season of the show, Gunvalson defended Ayers when the other ladies started to doubt his claims about his health. After the reunion show aired, Ayers produced some medical documents to prove that he received treatment at City of Hope hospital. But E! News was able to confirm that the papers were fabricated and that he never received treatment in the hospital.

In November 2015, Ayers broke his silence on the controversy and admitted that he fabricated the documents to prove that he has cancer. While he did say that the papers were faked, he maintained that his cancer story was true.

Ayers hopes that the tell-all will change people's perceptions about him and while he's about to say a great deal about his ex on the book, he said that he has no hard feelings for the 53-year-old, saying that he's not doing this to get back at her.

"I'm a grown man and I want to do what I can do to rehab my reputation…and you can't do it on reality TV," he said.
