"Star Wars Battlefront" is going to get one final DLC before the end of the year, titled "Rogue One: Scarif." As the name implies, the DLC is inspired by the upcoming prequel and spinoff film, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and it is going to launch this coming December.

According to a report from IGN, the DLC will include four new maps and all of these are centered on the planet Scarif. This planet will play a major role in the upcoming film, and some of the main locations will be the basis for the multiplayer maps.

In addition to these maps are two new heroes for players to control. On the Light side, fighting for the Rebel Alliance is Jyn Erso. Jyn is played by actress Felicity Jones in the film. On the Dark side, fighting for the Empire is Director Orson Krennic. Krennic is played by Ben Mendelsohn, and he is responsible for the construction of the Death Star.

The report also reveals that the DLC will come with new perks, achievements, and weapons. A new game mode, which offers both air and land combat, will also be made available.

"Rogue One: Scarif" will only contain gameplay additions for the multiplayer aspect of "Star Wars Battlefront," guaranteeing that gamers who buy it early will not see spoilers pertaining to the film.

Launching alongside the DLC is "Rogue One: The X-Wing VR Mission." This is a special bonus addition for those with PlayStation VR, and it can be acquired entirely for free. However, the base game is required in order to play the VR mission.

It is also noted that "Star Wars Battlefront: Ultimate Edition" will include all of the previously released DLC. This also includes the "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC once it has launched, putting all of the DLC content and the base game in one package.

"Rogue One: Scarif" will launch on Dec. 6.
