Samsung Galaxy Note 6 specs: Galaxy S7 to offer clues on Note 6 features?

While Samsung just launched the Galaxy Note 5, fans are already expecting that the South Korea-based company is already developing its successor. While no details have yet floated online about the Galaxy Note 6, some observers are saying that another Samsung flagship, the upcoming Galaxy S7, might offer a glimpse of what the tech manufacturer has in store for the Galaxy Note lineup.

According to Forbes, since Samsung will reportedly include at least two Edge devices in the upcoming Galaxy S7 lineups (the rumored Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 Edge+), the tech manufacturer might also add an Edge variant for the Galaxy Note 6.

"A Note Edge would be a nice addition to the Note range. If Samsung can't, or won't bring back microSD for the S7 then giving an extra tool to the Note range seems like a great trade-off. The Note needs extra feature to really shine, and for the Android enthusiast, having more storage is always a benefit," the report said.

Although it is rumored that microSD card support might be coming back for the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy Note 6 might not include this feature since one of the main selling points of the Galaxy Note series is its huge internal storage. Samsung might think of other  features for the Galaxy Note 6, such as a brighter display or a slimmer design profile with a USB Type-C port.

Meanwhile, ValueWalk reported that one of the features that Samsung might improve for the Galaxy Note 6 is its battery. The industry follower said that the feedback on the 3,000-mAh battery for the Galaxy Note 5 is lukewarm at best, and Samsung might increase the successor's capacity by at least 20 percent. Accordingly, a higher-rated battery will also dovetail with improved tech specs for the upcoming flagship iteration.
