Minecraft Xbox One edition is set to release in December 2014, according to a listing on Walmart.

The listing shows the product logo with a price tag of $59.99, and shipping and pick-up details listed as "not available at this time."

In the item description, the retailer states: "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is a pre-release general action game to be released in December of 2014. More information is on the way! Check back soon!

Minecraft will definitely be releasing for the next-generation Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles, but an official release date has not been announced by the games-maker.

There are reports that the Minecraft PS4 edition, Minecraft Vita edition and the Minecraft Xbox One edition will be available as a digital download months before the physical disc versions are released.

Game developers 4J studios tweeted on April 17: "The main thing we're working on is Minecraft Editions for Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, and Patch 1.06 for PS3 :)"

4J Studios should be keen on releasing the game for all consoles, as the game proved to be a success.

On April 4, the company tweeted: "WOW! Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold 12 MILLION copies!!!"

Last month, Microsoft's Phil Spencer told IGN: . "I talked to [4J Studios] last night. They feel really good about the progress that they're making. It's their game, and it'd be Mojang's game. We graciously host it on our platform."
