Google Nexus 8 release date may come soon as the Nexus 7 tablet is once again sold out in the Google Play Store.

One of the considered indications that a new device is on the way is when there is a decrease in the supply of the current model. Google has been teasing the consumers with the depleting supply of the Nexus 7 tablet, probably due to the speculations that Google is moving on to the production of the successor of the device.

It was not long ago when the Nexus 7 tablet was listed out of stock in the Google Play Store. However, the company replenished the stock that killed the hopes of the waiting Google fans. Now, rumors of the Nexus 8 were renewed after the Nexus 7 went out of stock again.

Android Geeks previously reported that the Google Nexus 8 will enter production this month with Taiwanese manufacturer HTC behind the production. However, HTC has not confirmed whether it will take charge of the new Nexus tablet. If the device will be produced this month, there is a chance that it will appear later this year.

On the other hand, there are reports that claimed that Google will push back the release date to early 2015 due to the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets which will be commercially available to smartphones and tablets at that time.

According to rumors, Google Nexus 8 will pack an 8.9-inch display screen with 2048 x 1440 pixel resolution and 221dpi. The tablet will be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra K1 processor or the upcoming 64-bit processor from Qualcomm paired with 2GB of RAM. It is most likely that the Nexus 8 tablet will run with Android L OS. Just like its predecessors, the tablet will be available with a friendly price tag that attracted a lot of buyers. The device will most likely follow the pricing strategy of its predecessor.
