"Frozen 2" is one of the most highly anticipated animated films, given how the first film became a worldwide phenomenon and earned over $1 Billion in the box office. However, Not a lot of details has been released about the sequel, and because of this, numerous theories and rumors have reportedly begun to run rampant.

One of the most prevalent theories, as previously reported, is that Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Josh Gad are not returning to reprise their roles of Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and Olaf, respectively. However, while the rumor has begun to spread like wildfire, there is no confirmation coming from Disney about this matter.

Disney and the aforementioned actors have not made any official announcements about their departure from "Frozen 2."

It has also been rumored that, instead of the sisters from the previous movie, the upcoming installment would focus on a prince, traveling through a wasteland to find his true love. Again, the animation company has not made any official statements claiming that "Frozen 2" would be about a brand new character.

The last official statement from the actors all supported the fact that they were indeed coming back. Actress Idina Menzel's latest official comments were made back in May when she explained that she would have no problem with Elsa being written as a lesbian for "Frozen 2."

Kristen Bell's latest official word was back in March, during an interview with Collider, when she stated that development for the film is still underway and that the script is still being written, edited, and reviewed in order to ensure that the sequel is just as good, if not better than the first movie.

A report from Telegraph has also compiled a series of official information dating from last year wherein it has been stated that the members of the cast are indeed coming back once their contracts have been finalized and that "Frozen 2" may even feature a duet featuring both Elsa and Anna to trump the song "Let It Go."

"Frozen 2" currently has no official release date announced, but it is expected to premiere in 2018.
