FC Barcelona star Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, commonly known as Neymar or Neymar Jr., got new leg tattoos on Monday that bear his personal prayer to God.

The Brazilian football star showed off his new ink on his Instagram account (@neymarjr). He wrote in Portuguese: "Boa Semana a todos," which means, "Good week to everyone."

The tattoo is written in a different language, but when translated, the ink reads: "May God bless me and protect me." Neymar's fans might not get to see his new leg tattoos when he plays because he has to wear socks and shinpads.

Meanwhile, Neymar is all set to sign a new five-year deal with the club, which would officially tie him to the Blaugrana up until 2021. Barcelona said in a statement that "the act to officialise Neymar's contract renewal will take place on October 21 at the club's offices at 3 p.m. As the club have previously announced, Neymar's new contract with FC Barcelona will end on June 30, 2021."

Neymar's new salary will reportedly be set at €16 million, and his new buy-out clause will start at €200 million for the first year of the deal, €222m for the second, and increase to €250m for the final three years.

When Neymar was asked earlier if he would like to play football for other countries, he was a little hesitant to answer. "It's tough to say if I wanna play in other countries," he told Red Bull. "Nobody knows [about] tomorrow, but I'm very happy where I am right now, at Barcelona. I want to go back to Brazil some day and I also would like to play in the United States – those two countries are where I want to play later on in my career."

"The U.S. is a place where the game is growing and attracting the interest of lots of players, who are becoming more and more popular there, so this makes me curious. It makes me interested to see it closely," he said.
