It's been weeks since director Tim Miller left "Deadpool 2" because of creative differences between him and Ryan Reynolds, the actor portraying the Merc with a Mouth. Reynolds never addressed the issue in the days following the announcement, but he finally broke his silence recently when he admitted that he was sad to see Miller drop out of the film.

"Tim's brilliant and nobody worked harder on 'Deadpool' than he did," the actor told GQ.

In the interview, Reynolds spoke at length about how the first movie was very difficult to make because of the passionate people working on it, but he did say the mercurial mix was what made "Deadpool" work so well. He revealed that there were actually "scary fights" during the post-production stage of the first film. He didn't exactly say who were involved in those fights but it sounds like there was already tension before they even thought of making a sequel.

Reynolds also talked about how he understood when to exert control and when to let go.

"I'm not gonna go and sit with Tim Miller and say, 'The visual effects of Deadpool need to be done this way.' The man is a visual-effects wizard," he said. However, he explained that he has been with the project longer than anyone else, so there were things that he knew very well.

Right now, 20th Century Fox has yet to replace Miller, but several sources say "John Wick" co-director David Leitch is in pole position. Other than that, the roles of Cable and Domino are not yet filled. While they are busy making "Deadpool 2," reports are saying Fox already has plans for a third movie. Well, "Deadpool" did make them a lot of money, and it was well-received by critics and audiences alike.

"Deadpool 2" is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 12, 2018.
