"Soul Surfer" Bethany Hamilton considers herself a blessed woman. This is why during the week leading up to Thanksgiving, she decided to start her own "Week of Thankfulness" and share something that she is grateful for each day.

On her Instagram account (@bethanyhamilton), the surfer mom shared a photo of her feet in the sand and writes, "Starting today, each day this week I'm going to share something I'm thankful for. It can be so easy to get busy with life and lose our grateful spirits. So with thanksgiving ahead, I look forward to pondering the big and lil things that I'm thankful for."

The first thing that Hamilton said she is grateful for is the fact that she is a Christian. "As a Christian, I take hope in the goodness and mercy of God; I look to His grace, love and forgiveness on my life. For this I am thankful," she says.

The second thing that Hamilton feels grateful for are her friends and family. In her second post, she shared a throwback photo of her and her friends riding horses by the beach. "I'm thankful for fun memories of growing up with friends and family! This is me horseback riding with two of my best friends, Natalie and @alanarblanchard. Still love them both!" she captions it.

Next, Hamilton shared a photo of herself running. "I am thankful for a healthy and functioning body! But I am even more thankful for my working mind, though I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed. It works," she writes.

The fourth thing Hamilton feels thankful for is her husband Adam Dirks, and she even shared a sweet photo of them dancing with huge smiles on their faces. "I am so thankful to share my life side by side with this man. A wonderful husband and dad. He is so loving and kind. Now I love seeing him as a dad and sharing parenthood together," she says.

Hamilton is not yet done with her week of thankfulness, but it is certain that she will be including her son Tobias Dirks in her list.
