The premiere date for "Beauty and the Beast" season 4 has finally been revealed. The CW has announced that the next season of the hit supernatural drama will premiere on June 2.

The show usually returns during the month of June and this season won't be any different. However, this will be the last time fans will ever see Cat and Vincent on the small screen as the couple's story ends in the upcoming season.

Details about "Beauty and the Beast" season 4 have been a bit elusive. But thanks to the steady flow of behind-the-scenes photos shared by showrunner Stuart Gillard, fans now know that the stars have been filming in Canada and New York.

In the photos, Jay Ryan aka Vincent and Kristin Kreuk aka Cat, are seen in battle. Nina Lisandrello, who plays the role of Tess, and Austin Basis, who portrays JT, are also seen sharing screen time, although their relationship is said to be in jeopardy.

The production for the season is already complete. Even before "Beauty and the Beast" season 3 could premiere last year, the cast and crew were already back on set to film "Beauty and the Beast" season 4 episodes.

When the series was renewed for a fourth season even before the third season could air, fans were confident that Cat and Vincent won't go anywhere. A month after the "Beauty and the Beast" season 3 finale aired, however, the CW announced the termination of the show.

"Beauty and the Beast" season 4 will only have 13 episodes, just like the third season. The first two runs of the series were 22-episode long. According to Variety, the show was already in a precarious spot when the last season premiered to 900,000 same-day viewers and 0.23 rating.

The last time fans saw Vincent and Cat, they finally tied the knot without anyone interrupting. While it felt like a happy ending for a while, "Beauty and the Beast" season 4 won't be gracious to the two for sure.
