Xioami recently released its Redmi Note 4, but it is speculated that another affordable smartphone from the series is about to arrive, the Redmi 4. The device is said to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, with 2GB and 3GB of RAM models.

Phone Arena reported that an unknown handset carrying a name of Xiaomi Mido checked in on Geekbench twice. Both results shows that it is equipped with an octa-core chip clocking at 2.02 GHz, which is believed to be the Snapdragon 625.

It also features an Adreno 506 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and loaded with an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow mobile operating system. It is speculated to have a 16 GB of internal storage. The results also showed a single-core score of 806 and 842, and a multi-core score of 3763 and 3608.

Early last month, the publication also came across a slightly higher configured unit named Redmi 4. Its Geekbench result showed the same 8-core processor but with a slightly higher memory, pegged at 3GB. It also showed that it gained a 929 for its single-core score and 4751 for a multi-core score. This one will allegedly arrive with a 32GB of internal storage.

The community now believes that the Redmi 4 will have two models, a 2 GB and a 3 GB RAM, and will come with a metal unibody design. It is also rumored to feature a fingerprint scanner and a huge battery capacity of expected at 4,100 mAh with fast charging support. Rumors also dictates that it will offer a 5-inch FHD screen with a 1080p resolution.

Other reports suggest that the cameras will be a 13MP for the back and 5MP for the front, while connectivity includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, dual band Wi-Fi and GPS. Colors are expected to be gold, dark gray and silver while user interface will be from the company's own MIUI 8.

No official word yet for the Xiaomi Redmi 4's release date but it may be announced before the end of the month.
