The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has already launched in India, and now the phone's full list of specifications has finally been released.

The new flagship phone from Xiaomi sports a 5.99-inch bezel-less IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 1260-pixel resolution. This follows the recent trend of screens filling up almost the whole front of the smartphone, getting rid of physical buttons.

The Mi Mix 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor and an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit (GPU), complemented by 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 128 GB of internal storage. The phone runs on a 3,400 mAh battery.

The Mi Mix 2 uses MIUI 9, an operating system based on Android 7.0 Nougat. There is no news yet if Xiaomi will lend users Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade support anytime soon.

These powerhouse specs are housed in a ceramic body with a height of 151.8 mm and a width of 75.5 mm. The phone weighs a mere 185 grams.

A dual-camera setup is absent from the Mi Mix 2's offerings. The phone only has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear camera that has an aperture of f/2.0. Although it has four-axis optical image stabilization, this still falls short of the current camera standard of flagship phones. By contrast, both the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Apple's iPhone X have dual-camera setups of two 12-megapixel rear cameras.

The front camera does not fare any better, as it is a mere 5-megapixel camera with few new or novel features.

Reviews have already noted that the phone's ceramic body makes it very slippery when used. The 18-carat gold rim around the rear camera lens might make a strong fashion statement, but it also quickly collected dust from a few minutes of being inside a pocket.

The Mi Mix 2 sells in India for Rs. 35,999 or around $553. The phone will officially begin selling on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
