Xbox Games with Gold September 2015 predictions: 'Mass Effect,' 'Halo: Reach,' and more

It's that time of the month again when subscribers of Microsoft's Xbox Games with Gold service are close to getting a new set of free games. This month, gamers enjoyed four titles without spending a cent. With September a week away, predictions and wish lists continue to surface.

The first on the list is the original "Mass Effect" title, which takes gamers into the darkest and most haunting galaxies in the universe to stop a threat to mankind and become a hero. The best part of being able to step into such intergalactic battle is if it will be for free.

Another game that will be a real treat to Xbox Games with Gold subscribers is "Halo: Reach," a first-person shooter video game released in 2010, depicting the ultimate battle of the Noble Team in planet Reach. The grand encounters and the amazing graphics will be great gifts for gamers next month.

The September Xbox Games with Gold is also predicted to include "Toy Soldiers." This game is action all over, as gamers will be hurled in battlefields fighting for control over Europe. This ought to be a great adventure to get busy with this coming month.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Microsoft is giving away four free games next month, although players will have to be registered to the Xbox Preview Program to be able to play these titles free of charge. The said program offers support for Xbox One backwards compatibility.

While this has yet to be confirmed by Microsoft, the rumor was instigated by the company's plans to have all Xbox One players be able to make use of the backwards compatibility for all future Xbox 360 titles that will be offered for free through Games with Gold.

It is worth noting that Xbox One backwards compatibility will be formally launched in November. This means that this month, Microsoft will still go with its usual set of offerings.
