Xbox Games with Gold for August free games: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition, Metro 2033 and Last Light

 Xbox Wire

Every end of the month, tech giant Microsoft reveals its upcoming lineup of free games for Xbox Live Gold members. Fresh off the presses, the Redmond-based company has just laid out its lineup for the month of August.

For the coming month, Xbox players are set to receive four free games, two each for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Those who are using the current-gen Xbox One can get "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" as a free download during the month of August. The listing of "Ground Zeroes" comes prior to the release of the upcoming sequel in the continuing saga, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," which is set to roll out on Sept 1.

The second free game for the Xbox One is "How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition," a zombie survival title from Eko Software. The title is available for free from Aug. 16 to Sept. 15.

Meanwhile, those who haven't upgraded yet and are still on the Xbox 360 are also set to receive two free downloads for August. The two titles are "Metro 2033," which will be available from Aug. 1 to 15; and its sequel "Metro: Last Light" available in the latter half of the month.

Aside from the four new free downloads for the month, some of the titles from the July playlist are still available. "So Many Me" is still available on the Xbox One until Aug. 15, while the other three titles which include the previous "Assassin's Creed" title, "Black Flag," can still be downloaded until the end of July.

As with previous Xbox Live Games with Gold lineups, the four titles are available as a free download for Xbox Live Gold members.
