Wladimir Klitschko vs Tyson Fury fight preview, latest news: Time for Fury to walk the walk

For weeks, Tyson Fury has repeatedly claimed that he will conquer boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko and he will now get the chance to prove that point as the two boxers will finally face off this weekend (Nov. 28) at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany.

At stake are the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) heavyweight titles, with both fighters set to earn rich paychecks thereafter. Fury will get about £5 million while Klitschko is expected to earn close to £15 million coming from the fight purse, sponsorships, and pay-per-view (PPV) shares.

Klitschko has followed the usual humble and subtle approach against his opponent leading to the fight, which was originally set for Sept. 25. But a calf injury forced the postponement of the fight to this coming weekend.

On the other side, Fury has been pretty confident about his chances against the Ukrainian champion, claiming that he knows what it will take to conquer the boxer who has not lost a fight since 2004.

His confidence is so high that he went as far as betting £200,000 on himself to win over Klitschko, something that could be doubled if he manages to hold true to his word and drop Klitschko this Saturday.

The matchup has been home to a lot of drama and off-ring distractions, including Fury dressing up as Batman during a press conference and calling Klitschko "a joker." Most recently, Fury even gave the folks at a training event a sample of his singing ability, serenading the folks with some modifications of Bette Midler's classic song, "Wind Beneath My Wings."

In all, this coming bout has all the animosity tied up to it, with the 39-year-old Klitschko approaching it silently.

The younger Fury is, of course, bringing a lot of energy heading to Saturday, someone who should give the Ukrainian an ample challenge.

Of the two, age and energy seem to be on the side of Fury, although it remains to be seen if such will be enough to overpower the years of experience that Klitschko carries.
