It appears like someone from Ubisoft implied that "Watch Dogs 2" is in the works.
Videogamer.com spotted the online CV of Ubisoft Paris' senior gameplay programmer Julien Risse which he posted on LinkedIn, where the sequel to the record-breaking open world action-adventure game released in 2014 was also listed alongside the first Watch Dogs and Bad Blood.
Risse immediately updated his profile to remove "Watch Dogs 2" in the list, but it has been screen captured by some of those who notice the big information.
While there is no official announcement yet from the game developer if a sequel is indeed planned to the widely successful action-adventure game, Ubisoft slipped several details about it in passing since last year.
Back in June 2014, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot mentioned that in case a sequel for Watch Dogs had been made, the lead character Aiden Pearce may not be featured in the new game. Then on September, Ubisoft Montreal Vice President Lionel Raynaud told the now defunct CVG that "fixing and refining what worked well [in Watch Dogs] is probably the way to go for Watch Dogs 2."
Early this year, Watch Dog's creative director Jonathan Morin confessed that the popular game is not yet perfect, and there are still a lot to improve if a sequel will be made.
"I don't think Watch Dogs is perfect in any way and there's a lot of room for improvement," Morin stated while remembering the 'hacktion' title with GamesTM that happened in 2014. "But you don't always see this when you ship a game. We deliver what we believe the brand should be at the time."
Based on the record sales last year, Watch Dogs managed to sell over nine million copies worldwide.
Ubisoft still has to comment about the alleged development of the "Watch Dogs 2" to confirm or deny the news.
