Before Ubisoft Montreal released their latest open world action adventure video game, "Watch Dogs 2," the company promised its future players that the game was going to be a title that would seamlessly blend the different gameplay aspects. The company previously claimed that the game was going to have both the solo gaming experience of a single campaign and the multiplayer experience of a massively multiplayer online (MMO) video game.

However, when "Watch Dogs 2" was released, several gamers were quite disappointed as the game was apparently plagued with numerous issues including character inconsistencies and frequent technical issues. The "seamless" experience was also severely inhibited due to the frame rate and stability issues that occurred when the multiplayer feature is enabled.

However, the company is planning to release a patch for the game which they are calling the "second phase" for the particular multiplayer/single player feature. The patch will be implemented on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game after it passes Microsoft and Sony's certification process.

In a statement released by the company, Ubisoft explained that with the new update, players will finally be able to enjoy the seamless multiplayer feature without any issues. Ubisoft revealed that bounty targets and rivals can now join the player's world without the need to open the Multiplayer app on a smartphone. Friendly Dedsec hackers will also now be encountered within the game's city and can be invited by players to form co-op teams and go on different co-op missions.

It was also previously announced that the multiplayer feature will allow players to seamlessly spot other players during regular single player gameplay and also interact with them using the game's emote system.

"Watch Dogs 2" was released worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last week, Nov. 15. The PC version is scheduled to be released next week, Nov. 29.
