It would seem that Lagertha's (Katheryn Winnick) bad experiences with men will compel her to form a deeper relationship with a younger shieldmaiden named Astrid (Josefin Asplund).

In an interview with Winnick, she explained that her character's relationship with Astrid will run much deeper than two women just sleeping together.

"Lagertha has been betrayed by so many men throughout her life, like Ragnar cheating on her and asking her to be a second wife. Then her second husband was abusive and then Kalf, who she groomed, usurped her...her relationship with men will never change. I'm not sure she'll ever trust a man again," said Winnick.

She said that her character is definitely grooming Astrid into a good warrior. The actress added that Lagertha's relationship with Astrid does not necessarily mean that the former is now a lesbian.

"And it's nice to see something where it's not necessarily 'oh here's two women in bed together', but a strong bond is cast...this is more an emotional bond," she added.

The second half of the season is expected to feature a showdown between Lagertha and Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), especially after the Kattegat queen's negligence resulted in the death of Bjorn Ironside's (Alexander Ludwig) daughter Siggy. In the first half of the season, Lagertha has already declared that she will not forgive Aslaug for taking her husband and her world, reported Movie News Guide.

Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) will meet his end in the remaining episodes of the season at the hands of King Aelle (Ivan Kaye), who will capture the former and kill him in a snake pit.

It is also rumored that Bjorn's journey to the Mediterranean Sea will remain faithful to historical accounts which depict that his journey across Greece and Italy will bear fruit, and that will become his father's successor.

The latest trailer — entitled "Who will Fall?" — hinted that vengeance will be the main story arc for the fourth season of "Vikings." It also showed Ragnar telling someone, "Do not be afraid."

"Vikings" season 4B returns to the History Channel on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
