UFC 2015 fight news: Tank Abbott dares Ronda Rousey to a match

Tank Abbott may not be the friendliest man in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and apparently, his current rant against UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey isn't going to help.

Already 50-years-old and someone who competes with the heavyweights, the UFC mixed martial artist has issued a challenge to the undefeated women's champ in the Octagon.

To prove that he is serious, Abbott says that he is willing to bet $100,000 if Rousey can beat him inside the Octagon. And if he wins? Well, Rousey just has to make him a sandwich.

"[Rousey] is a girl. It's all about this emotional stuff," Abbott said. "I will tell you this: I don't care, I will fight any woman on this Earth for free. I will. She will have to make me a sandwich — that's what I get for winning," he added.

A bit off key if you think of it but then again, would Rousey be crazy enough to take on someone as large and old as Abbott?

The whole issue seems to stem from the tirade that Rousey and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been into. UFC president Dana White said that should Rousey and Mayweather fight in a no rules event inside the Octagon, Mayweather would likely end up like a rag doll.

So, is Abbott taking exception to this male vs. female brouhaha? It does seem a bit off and considering that Abbott may have had too much to drink when he made the statement via TMZ, it remains to be seen if an unusual fight of this caliber would prosper.

More so, it may not look well for the UFC seeing a man and a woman fighting. The verbal war between Rousey and Mayweather seem to be simply a mind game and from the looks of it, both will never get it on in the Octagon since it will send mixed signals like chauvinism, which many may currently say that Abbott is doing.
