When the game "Tom Clancy's The Division" was released early in March this year, it was received warmly by eager gamers. The title was even subject to various discussions in the gaming community. However, once the new content for the game ran out, the interest for "Tom Clancy's The Division" rapidly declined.

According to VG 24/7, Ubisoft Massive immediately responded to this decrease in player activity. The company's response resulted in significant changes to the game's primary experience before they released new content instead of just sticking with the defunct mess they previously had.

Needless to say, the new approach worked to their advantage as it refined the entire experience offered by "The Division" through major updates and even drops in content, making the third-person RPG much better than it ever has.

With this, players have made it a point to reward the commitment Ubisoft has shown to the game, and as such, the developer reports that the daily players of the game has returned. The number of active users are now back to the levels they had when the game first launched. This could be attributed to the fact that they were simply impressed, said the VP of Ubisoft live operations — Anne Blondel — in an interview.

She also said that they had to make a tough decision as some of the players had left the game earlier than they thought. They were at a conundrum as to whether they should continue providing content for "Tom Clancy's The Division" or just settle down, fix everything, and point the game in the right direction. With them choosing the latter, it seems that the game is much stronger than it was before.

Meanwhile, Game Spot reports that the "Survival" expansion of "The Division" is now out for the Xbox One and PC. However, the expansion will be released for the PS4 on Tuesday, Dec. 20 after the exclusivity period is over for the two abovementioned platforms.
