Ubisoft finally updated fans about what they should expect from "Tom Clancy's The Division" after months of being quiet about the title. In an interview with GamerHubTV, the game developer shared their plans for the upcoming third-person shooter survival role playing game, including its gameplay, length, map areas, as well as its graphics.
According to Ubisoft Massive representative David Polfeldt, the game is a "big, open, long journey for players to discover." However, he did not elaborate on the number of hours that a player will have to spend in order to finish the game. He did share several pertinent details about where the game is set, which is in the massive underground area of New York.
Design & Trend reported that the game developer spent several months doing research about how the area of Manhattan could possibly respond to a pandemic scenario that the game will be portraying. It pointed out that the devs' prediction and analysis have proven to be very helpful when they were developing the gameplay. According to the report, Ubisoft found out that there is a possibility New York City would enter a state of total lawlessness if a massive illness outbreak would happen.

A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails. "Tom Clancy's The Division" is expected to be released later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
