This past weekend at the New York Comic-Con 2017, show creator Robert Kirkman confirmed that a crossover episode between "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" is going to happen.

In the NYCC panel, Kirkman said to fans that one character from one show will appear in the other. Although which character will be crossing over to which show was not confirmed. Die-hard followers of the juggernaut zombie TV series know for a fact that "Fear the Walking Dead" aired five seasons after "The Walking Dead." There is an obvious timeline discrepancy between the two shows.

The showrunner teased the fans that the crossover episode could be one of two things. The first scenario is that a character from "The Walking Dead" will get a sort of origins story that will happen in "Fear The Walking Dead."

The number one contender for this possible crossover would be Paul "Jesus" Monroe played by Tom Payne. Tom's character was the one who introduced the idea of interconnected communities to Andrew Lincoln's character, Rick Grimes. Of course, this realization did not happen to the character in an instant; fans would know something triggered this line of thinking for the character.

As for the second crossover scenario, a future version of a character in "Fear the Walking Dead" will appear in the "The Walking Dead" timeline. The biggest bet fans have for this character is Nick Clark. Whether his drug addiction has been resolved or not is still a question, but what triggered fans for this theory is that Nick is smart and selfless at times.

Season 8 of "The Walking Dead" will be the biggest yet because the premiere will be the show's 100th episode.

"The band's back together and this season is two big teams against each other. But he's (Daryl) going a bit rouge at times and he wants revenge," Norman Reedus said at the NYCC Panel.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 will premiere on Oct. 22.
