The tension between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) heats up in the upcoming episode of the hit The CW series "The Originals."
In "Beautiful Mistake," Cartermatt reports that the charged situation gets even more terrifying with the arrival of Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds), a woman from Klaus' past. Last episode, the hybrid finally learned that it was Elijah who forced Aurora to break up with him thousand of years ago so that the family could escape the country without her. Viewers witnessed the Mikaelson family drama that ensued, as Klaus tried to come to terms with his brother's betrayal.
In an interview with Zap2it, executive producer Michael Narducci described Aurora as "the ex-girlfriend from hell" and teased about what's in store for episode 6. He said that her return will "put the family at odds when it needs to be most related." Narducci also talked about Elijah's secret.
"Now, we've found out there's a sin from Elijah's past. It sure makes sense as to why Elijah has been loyal to his reckless brother all these years. Because of guilt? It's now clear that the noble and beautiful Elijah is flawed," he said.
The executive producer said that the brothers need to stand together, especially with the brewing sire line war right in the corner. Despite this, though, it is obvious that Klaus has a hard time forgetting the conflict, as he will be seen checking up on Aurora to figure out which side she represents. Meanwhile, also in the upcoming installment, Elijah and Freya (Riley Voelkel) will discover The Strix's next target. It is the other Mikaelson sister Rebekah (Claire Holt). The two will reportedly labor to protect her from the ancients' evil plans. Will they succeed?
Elsewhere, things are not looking up for the other creatures of the night. Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) life will be in danger when she encounters a member of The Strix. Likewise, Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring) will fight to stay alive in episode 6. Marcel's (Charles Michael Davis) new discovery will shock him, while Cami (Leah Pipes) will face a major decision when Lucien's (guest star Andrew Lees) scheme leaves her hanging.
"The Originals" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
