The net is closing in on Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) as they find themselves at the mercy of the Strix and the vindictive Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) in the upcoming episode of the hit The CW series "The Originals."
In "A Streetcar Named Desire," CarterMatt reports that the brothers will find themselves trapped with no way out inside a magical web created by the Strix. They cannot use their vampire powers, and if Freya (Riley Voelkel) will not find a way to save her siblings, she can say goodbye to them for good. The situation will turn for the worse when Aya (guest star Tracy Ifeachor) brings in The Sisters, the witch coven they are nurturing for this purpose. They will use a spell to finally end the Mikaelsons' centuries reign in New Orleans.
Guilty for being the reason why Klaus and Elijah are now suffering from Aurora's venom, Freya will race against time to gather a motley of warriors to save her brothers. She will ask Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) to help her, as well as an old friend of Klaus who is on a short visit. Stefan (guest star Paul Wesley) is in New Orleans on a personal errand, and Freya is thankful to have him on her team.
Executive producer Julie Plec previously shared some details on the upcoming crossover between the two hit The CW series. She said that the "Bourbon buddies" will find some time to catch up when Stefan mysteriously arrives in the city, looking for a safe haven from all the bad things happening in Mystic Falls. His arrival will not escape Klaus' attention. When Klaus and Elijah were kidnapped by Aurora and her gang, Stefan will help clear out some of his old friends' business. Meanwhile, Voelkel shared with TV Line how it was working with the "The Vampire Diaries" star.
"It was really fun, one of my favorite episodes to shoot, and Paul was great to work with," Voelkel says. "We had quite a few scenes together. On- and off-camera, he was great, but the actual episode is one of the most intense we've ever done. Stefan needs Freya's help with something that... well, you'll see," she said.
