Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) attempt to take over The Strix will end up opening a new can of worms in the upcoming episode of The CW series "The Originals."

In "Dead Angels," CarterMatt reports that the Original vampire will once again take on the group of progenies whose sole purpose is to lock up their "parents" for good. Elijah's daring move will lead to an intense confrontation, with some members of The Strix ending up dead. This will pave way to the birth of a new leader. Meanwhile, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is still after the only weapon to defeat the Mikaelsons. Now that it is in the wrong hands, the hybrid will have to race against time to secure it before it can cause harm to his siblings. He will soon find himself in "a tense standoff" against an unlikely enemy. Will the brothers get out of the sticky situations they are in?

Meanwhile, Davina (Danielle Campbell) is still at the mercy of Aya (Tracy Ifeachor) and her witch sisters. Last episode, it was revealed that The Strix has its own coven. Aya offered Davina something she had difficulty turning down. The coven was said to be the only one capable of casting a spell to bring back the dead. Aya told her that once she joined the group, her wish to resurrect Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) would be granted. Davina accepted the offer, but what she did not know was that The Sisters were planning something sinister against her lover's family.

In the upcoming episode, Aya will ask Davina to locate the weapon Klaus is dead set on finding. The former regent will soon learn that she is in over her head. Will she be the unlikely foe that Klaus is fated to face? In the event that Davina manages to snatch the elusive weapon from the Original, will The Sisters grant her wish to be reunited with her old lover?

"The Originals" season 3 airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW Network.
