'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: Mikaelson brothers' rift continues

The Originals CW

The gap between the Mikaelson brothers heats up as the third season of "The Originals" continues.

According to Daniel Gillies, who portrays one of the Mikaelson brothers, fans will see more of the worsening rift between the two. In an interview with TVLine, Gillies said, "This show is really about these two brothers attempting to fight the inevitable, which is that they're always going to be driving one another away."

It doesn't help that Elijah Mikaelson and Hayley blame the other brother, Klaus, for her condition.

This condition will also be highlighted in the new season. As the show progresses focusing on the two brothers, it will also highlight the changes in the relationship between Klaus and Hayley.

Fans of the series are aware that as season 3 opened, Hayley was still a werewolf, but the effect of the transformation were adverse. Instead of her becoming a werewolf in light of the full moon, her condition is the reverse of it. She remains in wolf form and only changes back into a human once a month, during the full moon.

According to Phoebe Tonkin, who plays Hayley, one of the things that the new season will shed light on is how her relationship with Klaus changes with her condition. Tonkin said, "Hayley's not going to be able to forgive him easily for what he's done. Even if he did it for the good of his baby, I don't think he did it in the right way. He should have let Hayley know that's what he was doing so she could have been part of the plan."

Meanwhile, Carter Matt reports that a truce may be in the works. According to the website, the Nov. 19 episode of "The Originals" will be titled "Out of the Easy" and will feature a Thanksgiving gathering that will see Klaus and Elijah invite the other vampires and work out a truce.
