'The Legend of Zelda Wii U' new video focuses on parent-child relationship

The Legend of Zelda Wii-U Nintendo

A report from Gamer Pros states that Nintendo is currently working on a new promotional video for "The Legend of Zelda" and that this may be a marketing trailer for the highly anticipated "The Legend of Zelda Wii U." However, Gamer Pros has refused to post the video online to honor the copyright of Nintendo and the video's producers.

According to the report, the first 40 seconds of the video are missing and it is highly speculated that this portion focuses entirely on the gameplay of "The Legend of Zelda Wii U." It is possible this portion is missing as the production company is still waiting for Nintendo to give them viable gameplay footage to insert.

The rest of the video focuses on the relationship of a father and his young daughter as clips of past "The Legend of Zelda" games are showcased. At the end, the young girl asks her father if she too can be like the series' main character Link.

She then tries to make her own Link costume but fails. Fortunately, her father comes in with his own costume, sword and shield and he gives these to his daughter, reportedly symbolizing the generation of gamers from the 1980s and 1990s passing down "The Legend of Zelda" series to their children today.

The clip then ends with the words "A New Generation Begins" followed by the logo of "The Legend of Zelda" and the words "Only on Wii U," confirming that the video is indeed marketing a title for the Nintendo Wii U console.

It is also pointed out that the video is being produced by a company called Creative Minds and Souls, LLC and the watermark also names one J. Richards while also stating the video is a property of Nintendo.

Fans speculate that this not only means that the new Wii U title will be targeted for both "The Legend of Zelda" players young and old but may feature Linkle, the female version of Link, as a playable character.
