The upcoming game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been surrounded by a lot of rumors ever since it was first announced. However, it seems that this time, a fan has made a surprising yet feasible claim in terms of the Old Man's role in the game as well as the game's timeline.

According to Game N Guide, the speculation can be traced back to the HyperBoyGames channel on YouTube, which is relatively new but has content that is still relevant. Basically, the speculation is a summary of the major arguments most Zelda theorists make when searching for the truth behind "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

The most intriguing concept among these is the Old Man's true identity, where a lot of fans speculate that he is one of the Seven Sages and that he was the leader of Hyrule during the Downfall timeline. As pointed out by some of the fans, the man's theme does sound like a much faster version of the Hyrule Castle theme, which is also associated with King Daphnes in Wind Waker. As such, most players assume that the theme is related to royalty.

As for the theory that the Old Man is one of the Seven Sages, according to the Hall of Fame Magazine, it could be possible simply because the Old Man's attire is similar to what the Seven Sages were seen wearing in the previous Zelda games.

Also, Zelda can be remembered as being a descendant of the Sages back in "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past," and it might tie in with the Old Man's character as well.

Regardless of whatever theory is surrounding the Old Man, it will eventually be revealed once the game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is released.
