The upcoming second half of the fourth season of the hit family drama television series "The Fosters" will reportedly be answering some of the questions that were left hanging during season 4A's finale episode. However, apart from the conclusion of the dire situations the members of the multi-ethnic blended family had found themselves in, the show will reportedly welcome a new character in the form of "Mann & Wife" star John Marshall Jones.

According to the latest reports, Jones will be playing the character of Detective Bruckner in "The Fosters" season 4B. While the network has not yet revealed much of his character and his significance within the storyline, Detective Bruckner has been described as a distrustful and hardworking police officer. There are speculations that Jones' character may be intertwined with that of Stef (played by Teri Polo), or Callie (played by Maia Mitchell).

As for the upcoming new episodes, the members of the Adams-Foster family will reportedly be able to resolve their respective dilemmas when the new season arrives.

The last episode featured Jesus (played by Noah Centineo) collapsing after Nick (Louis Hunter) had hit him on the head. Meanwhile, Callie was last seen trapped inside a car with the possible murderer of Mrs. Johnson.

The previous episodes also revealed that Mariana (played by Cierra Ramirez) was slowly spiraling down due of her ADHD drug addiction, while Brandon (played by David Lambert) is now facing the consequences of his cheating scandal.

The show's executive producer — Peter Paige — had previously revealed in an interview with EW that all of them will be able to come out of their situations relatively unharmed. He also confirmed that neither Jesus nor Callie would be killed off in the new episodes. Paige, however, revealed that Jesus will be completely changed after his experience.

"The Fosters" season 4B is scheduled to return early next year on Freeform.
