The hit television series "The Affair" is expected to return to screens very soon. According to Christian Times,  Showtime has announced the series' season 3 to premiere on Nov. 20, 10 p.m. Fans were reportedly left hanging from the previous season's cliffhanger, where Noah took the blame for Scotty's death, even though others were responsible for it. They finally gave flashbacks that depicted how Scott Lockhart was killed. Now it is time to find out whether justice will prevail or he will get stuck in jail for something that wasn't his fault. None of these details are available yet, since filming apparently hasn't even started for this season.

According to International Business Times, Maura Tierney, the actress who won the Golden Globe for best supporting actress for playing Helen, shares how she is intrigued by the darker sides of the characters that are slowly being revealed throughout the series. Nobody knows what kind of result may play out in season three, only that there might very well be a lot of drama ahead for everyone involved. Express also mentions her speaking more about this, saying that everything is a direct result of consequences from all the actions that they have done so far. Colin Donnell, Scotty's actor, is also very convinced that his character is well and truly dead, so he will most definitely not be able to return for season three unless if it was for another flashback.

Vine Report mentions how everything seems to be kept under wraps at the moment, since Tierney is not willing to dovulge anything else other than the fact that the next season may be "fun". She initially said that "The Affair" was planning to have a huge structural change in the next season, but this time she retracts her earlier statement, saying that these plans have changed. If they return for a fourth season, these changes may just be implemented then. Either way, there will still be a lot changing withint this coming season, with Noah taking responsibility for something that he didn't do.

"The Affair" is going to replace the timeslot previously taken by "Masters of Sex" on Showtime this Nov. 20 at 10 p.m. EST. "Masters of Sex" will be moved to a different slot, with the premiere set to be out on Sept. 11.
