'Tekken 7' release date PS4, Xbox One still unknown; official announcement coming at E3 2016?

Tekken 7 Bandai Namco

Despite fans clamoring for a console release of "Tekken 7," there's still no official release date from Bandai Namco. However, a lot of rumors about its launch still abound, and several speculations from various sources give possible dates for its console reveal.

According to Parent Herald, it's most likely for Bandai Namco to give updates on the game at the upcoming E3. After all, this game company hasn't announced their lineup of games for this event, so it's logical that a year after being released in arcades, "Tekken 7" will finally get a console version.

However, the game was already confirmed for a console release within this year, since the developers already gave the word last year. But the lack of updates from both the developer and publisher has left players in the dark, and a lot of them are getting impatient about their favorite title's release.

Producer Katsuhiro Harada explained that fans should expect the most enhanced version of Tekken once it hits the consoles, according to Game N Guide. Also, PlayStation 4 players should expect some bonus content once they get the game. As for Xbox users, no statement about such content was given.

Still, Harada has been known to change his statements about the game, but according to the same report, this time he confirmed that he's personally overseeing the development of "Tekken 7." So fans can certainly relax and just wait until its final release date is revealed.

"Tekken 7" has been in arcades for quite a while now and has been playable in different conventions in the United States since April. For most experts, this could be a good way of stirring up excitement amongst fans who are still waiting for its console version, which will most likely happen before 2016 ends.
