On this week's episode of "Teen Mom OG," Catelynn Lowell is struggling to lose all the weight that she gained while she was pregnant with baby Novalee. Her goal is to reach her desired weight in time for their August wedding. Her fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, is trying to be supportive, not knowing that his comments aren't helping at all.

Catelynn's storyline opens with her weighing herself and discovering that she has lost 20 pounds.

When Tyler asks how much more weight she plans to lose — another 20 pounds — he tells her, "If I were you, I would start the diet as soon as possible."

Later, at a family dinner, Catelynn reveals that she joined Weight Watchers, and Tyler asks her about the gym. Frustrated, Catelynn tells him that when he says things like that, it makes her not want to do them. Bewildered, Tyler asks her how he can support her.

Eventually, the couple was able to work it out, but Tyler received some backlash from fans while the episode was airing.

One viewer tweeted, "@TylerBaltierra that was mean! I would punch you! You're gonna make her insecure!"

Another admonished him, "Support her! At least she's trying."

Tyler reminded his followers that what they're watching on TV isn't their whole conversation.

"Remember you're watching a half hour convo cut down to 3 minutes. Cate desired to lose, I was just trying to support," he said. "It's hard for a guy to talk to his girl about weight. It's sensitive & I sincerely do my best to try & honor that."

Tyler also mentioned that he can be too harsh with his words and is just trying to support her by being honest.

"My intention is to never hurt @CatelynnLowell I love her dearly & am just trying to support her through a sensitive subject," he adds.

"Teen Mom OG" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
