'Supernatural' season 10 spoilers: New female character 'Rowena' added to cast

The latest news about the tenth season of hit TV series "Supernatural" claimed that the show will add a new female character that goes by the name of "Rowena".

According to TVLine, the female character will appear on the premiere episode of "Supernatural" season 10 entitled "Soul Survivor". Rowena is described as "tough but elegant" and she will do everything she can to gain power and authority.

There is no actress named for the role yet as the report stated that the producers are still looking for the actress to play the role. However, producers are currently favoring those who have a Scottish accent.

It was speculated that Rowena will not be part of the regular cast just like the other girls that joined the series. "Supernatural" has a reputation of killing off its female cast with some exceptions. The latest character to join the chorus of dead females is Abaddon.

Meanwhile, although the biggest mystery in the upcoming season is Dean's condition now that he is a demon, actor Jensen Ackles will also be taking the helm and directing some of the episodes. Jensen Ackles cut his vacation short to go back to work in Vancouver with the team behind the camera.

"Just finished the 1st tech scout of season 10!! Time to shoot!" tweeted first assistant director Kevin Parks on Thursday.

Very few details were known about the tenth season of "Supernatural". The biggest question next season is what will happen to Ackle's character. Will his brother, Sam, find the cure?

Actor Jared Padalecki, who plays the role of Sam, said that the tenth season tackles Dean's reincarnation as a demon. Reports said that Dean will encounter challenges coming to terms with the fact that he transformed into a demon, which is what he dreaded and feared the most.

"Supernatural" season 10 will be back on air on October 7 at CW.
