Super Bowl 50 preview, team rumors 2016: Peyton Manning gives it one last push

For some reason, the Denver Broncos were able to defy the odds and pull the rug from under the defending champion New England Patriots. And one man deserves feting for that, a 39-year-old quarterback named Peyton Manning.

In the eyes of many, Manning was on the verge of probably playing his last game in the National Football League (NFL) had they lost to the Patriots. But to the surprise of many, Manning turned back time and starred for the Broncos, rewarding him with another Super Bowl appearance which could be his last.

All eyes were on Tom Brady to dominate their American Football Conference (AFC) matchup but what happened was the opposite. Manning came up with a surprise performance, his best game yet. Such was highlighted with two touchdown throws to tight-end Owen Daniels.

He finished with 17-for-32 for 176 yards as mentioned on the Indianapolis Star, showing he still has some left in the tank. But will he continue to push himself at the big dance this February?

For Manning, the effort was simply a picture of the Broncos season. It hasn't been easy all season long for the Broncos, and their next match will certainly not be any easier.

Against the Cam Newton-led Panthers who have been favorites all season long, it may take more than that performance. He will need the cooperation of his teammates and hope that they too come up with something big.

For Manning, Super Bowl 50 could be his last one, although he hasn't really divulged what he really plans for next season. But there are some like DeMarcus Ware who believe that it will all boil down to passion and how much more Manning can take.

"They always look at his age, how he's played and maybe injuries, but sometimes when something is important to you, you'll do whatever you can to make it right or to get it done," says Ware via USA Today.
