'Suits' season 5B spoilers: Harvey deals with fresh bouts of depression

Harvey (Gabriel Macht) may end up having renewed attacks of depression when the USA Network series "Suits" returns for the second half of its fifth season.

Before the legal drama went on a break, the lawyer has been a frequent visitor of Dr. Agard (Christina Cole). Viewers learned that Harvey was having therapy sessions to cope up with the depression due to his estranged relationship with his mother. As season 5B will reportedly showcase the return of Harvey's mom, according to Realty Today, it is certainly possible that all the hate and anger he feels for her will resurface. Although Dr. Agard's treatment appears to be working for Harvey, there is no telling what will happen once he comes face-to-face with his parent once again.

The upcoming episodes will also see how Harvey's bond with Donna (Sarah Rafferty) will progress. If he does learn to open himself to others after his therapy, his connection with his mother will not be the only thing that will work out. His on-again off-again relationship with Donna will also improve. Harvey will finally be able to discern what she really means to him aside from being a colleague. However, the fact that Donna has a boyfriend may put a stop on Harvey's plan to pursue her.

Meanwhile, Harvey's protégée will also take the spotlight when the series returns. Mike (Patrick J. Adams) was arrested last midseason finale due to his fraudulent activities. Someone ratted him out to the authorities and he ended up in jail. While it remains a mystery who the whistleblower is, Movie News Guide reports that executive producer Aaron Korsh put a stop on the speculation that it was a close friend of Mike.

Korsh reportedly said in a Tweet that the culprit is not one of the six main characters in the show. Excluding Mike, the rest of the central cast includes Harvey, Jessica (Gina Torres), Louis (Rick Hoffman), Donna and Rachel (Meghan Markle). The showrunner also cautioned fans that they would not immediately learn who was behind Mike's arrest, as the revelation would come at the latter part of the season.

"Suits" season 5B will return on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
