There will be a big family reunion for the Mills when the FOX series "Sleepy Hollow" returns for the second half of season 3.

During the midseason finale, Abbie (Nicole Beharie) made the difficult decision to sacrifice her life in favor of her sister's. Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) was saved from the Anubis energy that was trying to consume her when Abbie brought the orb to the portal under Pandora's (Shannyn Sossamon) tree. Abbie feared that its awesome energy would destroy those that she held dear, including her sister, Ichabod (Tom Mison), and the entire town of Sleepy Hollow. Before she could get out, however, the orb exploded, leaving the viewers unable to comprehend if she really was dead.

If Abbie will not survive, it will be a shame that her father Ezra (James McDaniel) has taken the trip to see them for nothing. According to TV Guide, the elder Mills have come to make amends. He and his daughters had a falling out when Abbie and Jenny were still kids. Soon after that, their mother got sent to a mental institution. Ezra reportedly wants to become a part of their lives once more, but that will not be possible if one of the girls is missing. The addition of McDaniel's character gives fans hope that the Witness is still alive somewhere and that there will be a family reunion soon.

Showrunner Clifton Campbell refused to say point blank what would become of Abby's fate in his interview with TV Line. He did hint, however, that Abbie and Ichabod being apart would not work, but that things would turn up okay at the end.

"Things change dramatically once you take one of the key components out of the dynamic between Crane and Abbie. A lot of questions and a lot of need and desire comes to the surface, and it comes together in a very nice way," the executive producer said.

"Sleepy Hollow" season 3 will return on Friday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
