With Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) fully back in his position as Chief of Staff of the White House, he now has the power to either support President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) all the way or throw him to the dogs. Whichever road he chooses, Beene will become one dangerous wild card to be wary of when the hit ABC series "Scandal" returns for the second half of its fifth season.
Design & Trend posits several plotlines for Beene, as he wields his power and influence in the Capitol. The one thing he will surely spend time on is to make sure Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi) does not get another chance to steal his position. When Fitz asked Beene to work with him again, the latter only agreed after demanding that the POTUS remove Elizabeth as Chief of Staff. Instead of totally throwing her out of the oval office, Fitz decided to pass her over to Vice President Susan Ross' (Artemis Pebdani) team.
Although the move seemed to be a smart one for the president, Beene might see it in a different light. The website feels he will not rest until he has totally removed Elizabeth from the fold. During the first half of season 5, Beene was not happy with Fitz after learning about what he did. With Beene back to power, he is certainly in the position to hurt Elizabeth's career. Will he do it, even if it means disappointing his beloved leader and friend?
Meanwhile, the Internet is abuzz with photos of Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn Perkins (Katie Lowes) goofing off in the set. Fans have been vocal in their comments about how much they want to see Huck and Quinn get together again for the upcoming episodes. The pair have shared a good connection in the previous installments, but in season 4, things came to heed between them. Quinn almost finished off Huck's life after learning that he worked with Rowan Pope (Joe Morton).
"Scandal" season 5B will return on Feb. 11, 2016, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
