With the rumor that Samsung is realigning its strategies for the upcoming year by releasing a flagship much earlier than expected, another speculation that is floating around is that the upcoming iteration of the Galaxy S series will also be more inviting for would-be owners due to its price tag.

According to industry follower CNET, the next Galaxy S7 might be cheaper than the S6 when it is released. This is based on a prediction made by Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang. In addition, TechGadgetCentral indicated that the price tag for the upcoming device will be at least ten percent lower than that of the Galaxy S6.

Although it has been considered only a rumor, as no confirmed details were presented other than the prediction, there might be a chance that the price tag of the Galaxy S7 will not be far from that of the current price of other Samsung flagships. The South Korea-based tech giant recently adjusted its prices for its flagship lineups in an aggressive stance to lure more fans. This is in the face of other competitors offering same-specs devices but are much more budget-friendly.

It was undoubtedly successful, as Samsung posted an increase in their profits for the third quarter, reported Latin Post. Meanwhile, since the newer Galaxy flagships already have their prices adjusted, it might follow that the upcoming Galaxy S7 versions will also have a friendlier price tag.

In addition, there are rumors that Samsung will be using homegrown components for the Galaxy S7, such as a new Exynos processor with all aspects developed by the company. This means that since Samsung will be using more components that will not be imported (unlike the ARM chipsets), this might translate into an adjusted price tag for the next flagships from the company.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will reportedly come out in January next year.
