Reports have been saying that tech giant Samsung will be realigning its marketing plans, and the new strategy will include the Galaxy S7 releasing much earlier than expected. While the rumors of an early announcement and release remain unconfirmed, more speculations appear online.

This time, rumors say the announcement will happen in February.

According to SamMobile, it has been revealed that Samsung will have a Galaxy Unpacked event next year. Set for February 21, the Galaxy Unpacked event will apparently showcase Samsung's next products, including the new Galaxy S7.

This rumor runs counter to previous reports that Samsung will be unveiling its newest flagships at the start of the year and fans will see the Galaxy S7 come January. If the new schedule is to be believed, then the South Korea-based company has not made any changes to its announcement cycles.

According to GSM Arena, Samsung has been in the habit of announcing its start-of-the-year flagships at least a day before the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Before the 2015 MWC started last March 2, fans saw the Galaxy S6 unveiled on March 1. For next year, the Mobile World Congress will be held on Feb. 22. If Samsung sticks to its original intended schedule for the Galaxy S7, then the device will be unveiled on Feb. 21 and will probably be out for the global market a month or so from unveiling.

If this rumor is proven true, then some fans would probably be disappointed as they have previously thought an early release possible. There were previous speculations that Samsung has already made preparations for a January announcement for the S7, and various reports seemed to support the idea. It has been rumored that Samsung has already mass-produced the Exynos 8890 chipset to be used for the S7 already made preparations for completing the assembly line by December.

I would suggest that, leaving out the hyperbole, these are the most significant elections since Maggie Thatcher was elected – or perhaps the Brexit referendum. What can Christians make of it all?
