The new flagship devices of Samsung are set to receive the newest Android updates by June.

According to rumors, updating its flagship devices to the current Android version is top priority for the Korea-based tech giant, and so it is rushing about in preparing to roll out Android 5.1.1 updates starting with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices. News site Yibada places the rollout to happen in June, as Samsung is already on its test phase and will be completing the development for the update shortly.

Most Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge owners are eagerly waiting for the update, as most known issues such as the memory leak and a host of other glitches plague those who are on Lollipop 5.0 or the early versions of Android 5.1. Moreover, it is said that with the jump to the newest 5.1.1 Lollipop version, Samsung flagship devices will enjoy a more tweaked performance and enhanced features.

According to rumors, the Android 5.1.1 update for the Samsung S6 and S6 Edge will bring out the best in the device's cameras, as users will now be able to manually adjust focus points, exposures, shutter speed controls, and other viewfinder options for their shooters. This would give the cameras almost DSLR-like features and would hopefully result in better images and videos. Additionally, the new update will bring an expanded line-up of file support for the camera app that S6 and S6 Edge owners will now be able to process images in RAW format.

Aside from the drastic camera improvements, the standard performance enhancements and tweaks will also be included. Most observers hope that the performance improvements would iron out the many glitches and bugs found in the previous versions of Android Lollipop, particularly the memory leaks, which fills up unused portions of both RAM and ROM, leading to unexpected app crashes and a host of other problems.
