Samsung Galaxy S6 release date, specs and features: Only two native apps to be preloaded

Samsung has gotten its share of complaints as far as the kind of apps their devices come with but all that stands to change with the Samsung Galaxy S6.

In response to the numerous complaints tied up with bloatware add-ons, Samsung will reportedly only include two preloaded apps with the said device. All other apps can be downloaded separately.

Users have been airing their piece and complaining that one reason for the sluggish performance of their phones could be due to the multiple apps that Samsung preloads with their devices in the past. So now, only two native apps such as the S Voice and S Health will be installed.

Aside from the two apps, three apps from Microsoft (OneDrive, OneNote and Skype), WhatsApp, Facebook and some native Google apps will be present.

All other apps can be downloaded optionally and separately from the Galaxy Apps store which should be an improvement considering users will have the liberty to pick out the apps they would actually need.

Other than that, folks can expect some design improvements on certain apps on the device. This includes new designs for the music player, video player and gallery which were said to be done to somehow blend in with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

With the new approach, it should be interesting to see if the downsizing of apps can truly help improve device performance. The Samsung Galaxy S6 will take first crack at that which hopefully can appease previous and disgruntled Samsung device patrons. The new device will be released Mar. 1 at the Samsung Unpacked Event in Barcelona.
