Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 release date, specs: Phone coming soon after being spotted on FCC and TENNA

The Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 was first spotted at China's TENNA earlier this month. Now it was seen again in the depths of the FCC database in the U.S. It is speculated to be released anytime soon.

A Samsung Galaxy phone carrying a model number of SM-G610F was recently certified by the Federal Communications Commission. Nothing much was revealed about the technical specification of the speculated phone, aside from its 3,300 mAh battery capacity, its physical dimension, 151.5 x 74.9 x 8 mm (5.96 x 2.95 x 0.31 inches) and connectivity, support for 4G LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

An earlier benchmark result pointed out that the Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 might arrive with a 5.5-inch TFT display coupled with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with a clock speed of 2 GHz, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, GSM Arena reported last June.

It is also speculated to come with an Adreno 506 GPU, 13MP main camera and an 8 MPfront-facing one. Both cameras are said to be capable of recording 1080p videos. It is speculated to be in the US$200 price range.

Several reports suggest that it may also feature a fingerprint scanner embedded on its home button. There is a small chance that it will arrive with Android 7.0 Nougat, but expected to come pre-loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. A microSD card slot is also expected, bumping the storage to an additional 256GB.

The 2015 version of the Galaxy On7 arrived with a Snapdragon 410, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card), and 13MP main and 5MP front-facing cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 is expected to make an appearance at the IFA 2016 next month in Berlin, Germany.
