'Samsung Galaxy Note 8' release date news, specs rumors: February or August launch eyed for Note 8

It was not too long ago that tech giant Samsung unveiled its flagship phone Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and now the company is already gearing up for the release of its newest smartphone.

Rumors are rife that the Note family will announce the next Samsung Galaxy Note on August 2017 since the company has followed the trend of a September release in the previous years, PCA reported.

However, it has been reported that due to the bad publicity generated by battery issues of the Note 7, there are those who are saying that the company would be compelled to release the next version earlier than usual. If this happens, fans could expect a Note 8 by February next year, along with the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Meanwhile, pundits have plenty of expectations for the new flagship. Some tech analysts are expecting a better battery from Samsung after the last iteration. There are reports that the batteries may be supplied by LG Electronics. A long battery life is expected to cater to the trend of 4K videos, which take up a lot of energy.

Despite battery issues, however, the Note 7 had a lot of great features that the new phone may adopt the such as the iris recognition technology, which is definitely something new in the market. If the company manages to improve the technology to an even faster and efficient scanner, it would be a main draw for consumers because wven the iPhone has not utilized the tech yet, Forbes reported.

In terms of performance, it is expected that the phone will use a faster processor and a huge RAM as well as offer improved cameras.

Due to the losses incurred by Samsung for the Galaxy Note 7 amounting to 4.5 billion, there have been reports that the company could change its strategy and limit its releases to one high quality smartphone a year instead of multiple models, reported Gospel Herald
