Samsung Galaxy Note 7 vs iPhone 7 Plus specs, release date comparison: Which one to choose between the two big flagships?

Samsung recently unveiled its latest creation, the Note 7, which is a perfect specimen of a flagship phone. Meanwhile, iPhones are known to have unique features of their own which are not available to other smartphones. So for those who are planning to get themselves a high-end phone, will it be the Galaxy Note 7 or will they wait for the iPhone 7 Plus?

A quick comparison between these two phones will give customers a better idea on what the devices can offer. Do take note that the specification of the iPhone 7 Plus are all based on rumors, since no official information has been released so far.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 offers a 5.7-inch dual-curved Super AMOLED QHD display. It offers a 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution with around 518 ppi pixel density. It is so far the smartphone with the best display.

The Apple iPhone 7 Plus Is said to come with a 5.5-inch Retina display and expected to offer a similar 2560 x 1440 resolution speculated to be created by Japan Display with its second-generation LTPS LCD screen.

Processor, RAM, Storage and OS

The Galaxy Note 7 is powered by an octa-core Exynos 8890 and a Mali-T880 MP12 GPU. It arrives with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, external storage of up to 256GB via a microSD card. It will also arrive with an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, upgradeable to Android 7.0 Nougat.

The iPhone 7 Plus is expected to come with the new A10 processor, 3GB of RAM and several internal storage capacities such as 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. It is also expected to arrive with the new iOS 10.

Apple, by the way, does not offer any means to expand its storage physically.

Camera

The Note 7 features a 12MP main camera, equipped with Dual Pixel Sensor and a 5MP front-facing one that offers superb quality images. The same camera system is present on the Galaxy S7 line.

Apple's upcoming phone is rumored to contain a dual-lens 12MP main camera, while the front contains a 5MP sensor.

Other features

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is IP68 certified, contains a Fingerprint Scanner as well as an Iris scanner. It also offers the S-Pen, a capacitive stylus. It also packs a 3,500 mAh battery.

The Apple iPhone 7 Plus is said to offer a Smart Connector, waterproof protection, a Fingerprint Scanner and 3D Touch.
