According to rumors, the Galaxy Note 6 will borrow some features from the Galaxy S7. ValueWalk stated that while observers agree that the upcoming Galaxy Note will be powered by Samsung's homegrown Exynos processor, releases in some markets will be featuring a Snapdragon chipset instead, possibly the Snapdragon 820 processor. The Galaxy S7 has the same set-up in terms of chipsets.

The Galaxy Note 6 may also come with a regular-screen, base model version as well as an Edge variant. Samsung also used this two-model setup for the Galaxy S7. It remains to be seen, however, if there will be an Edge+ versions for the devices.

Another feature that may also be found in the Galaxy Note 6 is expandable storage. In the Galaxy S7, the South Korea-based tech giant brought back microSD card support, and fans are expecting the same feature to be integrated into the Galaxy Note series. If this is proven true, then the Galaxy Note 6 will have a massive storage capacity, as recent speculations also suggest that Samsung may feature as much as 256 GB of internal storage in the upcoming device.

Meanwhile, PC-Tablet says that timelines indicate the Galaxy Note 6 could appear sometime in the third quarter of the year. However, instead of the new lineup appearing at a big event such as the annual IFA in September, the new Galaxy Note is rumored to come out much earlier than that, possibly as early as August.
