Ronda Rousey next fight rumors: Joe Rogan feels Holly Holm rematch is too soon

Joe Rogan is a good friend to Ronda Rousey, so it is only normal to see him showing concern for the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion.

The concern that Rogan is trying to get across is the real state of Rousey. How badly is Rousey injured?

Rogan points out that vicious head kick that Holly Holm landed on Rousey, something that knocked her out leading to a shock loss that many didn't really see coming.

For her part, Rousey did admit that she was still feeling the effects of that match, although she didn't go as far as to admit that the rematch which is to take place at UFC 200 in July would be too soon.

"I had this conversation with Dana (White), and he was like, 'Oh, Ronda's fine,' and I'm like, 'Listen man, you can't say that.' She's not fine. You don't get head kick knocked out and be fine. That's not fine. There's damage for sure. The question is, how much damage? We just don't know," says Rogan via the Bloody Elbow.

Like Rogan, there are others who share the same sentiment. That includes Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.

The pieces of Holm and Tate will, of course, come with a bit of color, something like a similar vested interest. This has something to do with a possible fight between the two friends which the UFC is unfortunately not keen on doing.

The reason is obvious with the UFC wanting to make sure that Holm remains as champion and making the match all the more marketable since it does carry a reason for the rematch to happen.

July is far off, but not too many are convinced Rousey can recover in time. In fact some call it as potentially turning out the same result. If so, it could push Rousey farther down, probably worse than her loss at UFC 193.
