After Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 193, Ronda Rousey was expected to be down following that loss to Holly Holm in shocking fashion.
Rousey was obviously in unfamiliar territory, having enjoyed a great run before seeing her world crumble right before her very eyes at the hands of a conspicuously silent Holm who never bit in her mind games. Everyone knows the aftermath of all that, a brutal and shocking knockout win that many weren't expecting.
Severely rattled, the deposed champ isolated herself in the months that followed. Many speculated she was through with the UFC, while others feasted by criticizing her for her arrogance. With a seemingly load of things going on in her mind, how can someone previously undefeated and on top of the world recover from all these?
Rousey appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show recently and revealed that it came to a point that she considered taking her own life. She was that dejected.
Even though the recourse was a bit extreme, considering she could easily rebound from all these, one man thankfully helped her get back to her senses — Travis Browne.
The two have been going steady for quite some time now and her recent claim only proves that their relationship is for real. She bares that she wanted to have Travis' kids and that's what finally got her thinking straight.
Rousey is back in the gym, training with Edmond Tarverdyan. She is scheduled to face Holm once again in what is billed as a revenge match.
Right now, Rousey has her work cut out for her. The need for more help could be needed, particularly in the area of boxing. Andre Berto offered his services recently, while Chuck Lidell also made a pitch previous to that as reported by TMZ.
For now, Rousey and her camp haven't sounded off to any possible reinforcement as far as training goes; but the good thing about it all is she is back on track.
