Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs split: Is Katy Perry to blame?

Robert Pattinson and fiancée FKA Twigs have allegedly called off their engagement, just three months after the actor revealed they were "kind of betrothed." Apparently, he and his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry were pictured together while having a dinner at a hotel.

Pattinson and Twigs started dating in September 2014 and shared life together as a couple for almost three years. The pair got engaged, but neither of them confirmed nor denied the claims. However, it may be likely that the two will not be exchanging vows in the future, as recent reports asserted that they had ended their relationship.

A source close to the pair told The Sun, "They were almost inseparable for their first two years together. But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together. Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split. With so much history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there."

The informant then added that things between the two have become tough for some time, and they both knew that they were no longer working as a couple. The speculations about the alleged split emerged when the singer did not wear her engagement ring while out with model Brieuc Breitenstein in Ibiza.

It also rekindled when Twigs was spotted without her distinctive ring during the Christopher Lane London Fashion Week show. On August 1, she stepped out not wearing the band, prompting questions about a possible breakup. To add more fuel, Pattinson was photographed having a cozy dinner with his former girlfriend, Katy Perry, at the Sunset Tower Hotel.

Pattinson and Perry have faced romance rumors since they redeemed their friendship back in 2012. Although the pop star assured everyone that it was entirely platonic and that she is like his "big sister," many are still convinced that the singer might be one of the reasons for the actor's breakup with Twigs.

Since the reports remain unverified, fans should take them with a grain of salt. Pattinson and Twigs have yet to give an official statement about the issue.
