Fans have been waiting for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" to be released on the PS4 for almost a year now, and it seems that it will soon be launched for the aforementioned console. To compensate for the long wait, Square Enix confirms that this version of the game will have some notable additions.

According to the Parent Herald, the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will finally be released on Oct. 11 for the PS4 after being an exclusive game for Xbox One. It is possible that Square Enix is planning to have the title released on the game series' 20th anniversary.

In their efforts to promote the game, Square Enix recently shared a trailer at the TGS 2016 event. This trailer features the first glimpse of the new co-op mode as well as the "Blood Ties" downloadable content (DLC). This DLC will follow the iconic hero Lara Croft's visit to the ruined and haunted Craft Manor. It offers a "Resident Evil"-style gameplay where players will defend themselves and the mansion from hordes of ravenous zombies.

Furthermore, this trailer also sheds light on some of the PS4-exclusive features for the game. This includes VR content, among other things.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will also come with some exclusive PS4 Pro features, chief among which is its four different graphics modes, as reported by WCCF tech. This feature will enable players to play the game using 4k resolution at 30fps on TVs that support 4k graphics, ensuring smooth framerates and enhanced visuals.

With this, it seems that a lot of Xbox One players are missing out, considering the hefty additional features the PS4 players are getting. After all, the "Blood Ties" expansion will also be released for the Xbox One by the time it gets released for the PS4 as well.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be released on October 11, 2016 for the PS4.
