Fans of the Lara Croft franchise who can't wait to get their hands on the upcoming "Rise of the Tomb Raider" title can now get their purchase pre-orders both digitally and from brick-and-mortar retailers. As with any other pre-order deals, early purchase of the videogame nets players some choice bonuses.

Although it can be expected that bonus perks and items are bundled with pre-order purchases, publisher Square Enix put some twists for fans to enjoy. For example, exclusive to retailer GameStop, pre-order purchase of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will unlock the Apex Predator Pack. The bundle includes fire-related bonus items such as the Holy Fire Card Pack, with additional five magical powers that Lara Corft can use against enemies.

The twist: aside from an unlimited supply of burning arrows, Backfire defense, and Holy Fire offense abilities, the pre-order items give Lara Croft an additional weapon in her arsenal – exploding chickens. With the ability unlocked, the main protagonist can literally carry chickens around, and use them as grenades against enemies.

Meanwhile, other pre-order exclusives are also available depending on retailers. Amazon deals will net players the Byzantine armor perk, which includes extra armor points for every opponent Lara Croft kills. Best Buy pre-order bonus is health-centric, giving Lara Croft bonus healing and the ability to recover hitpoints without using resources.

Digital copies of the title also have pre-order bonuses. Those who order online from the Xbox Store can get the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" Pre-order Edition, which includes the Remnant Resistance Pack. Players can also pre-purchase the Deluxe Edition of the title, and aside from the game and the Remnant Resistance bundle, players will also have a Season Pass that unlocks additional post-launch content.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be released for the Xbox One next month, on Nov. 10.
